A delicious blend of 15 selected nutritious ingredients
including GREEN TEA concentrate (1%)

4 biscuits equivalent to consuming small cup (100ml) green tea

wholewheat flour, water, dates(11%), oatmeal, golden syrup, canola oil,
Carotino TM (from whole red palm fruit) (7%), egg, caster sugar, isomalt (5%)
soy flour (4.5%), amaranth seed (3.5%), whey concentrate, wheat germ, brewers yeast,
linseed, cinnamon (2%), walnuts, vanilla, green tea concentrate (1%), seaweed powder (0.1%)


Dr Soo's Most Nutritious biscuits have been inspired by respected Melbourne GP and pioneer of community medicine in Australia, Dr Soo Sien Huang in the interests of better health.

Developed in conjunction with nutrition scientists, Professor Mark Wahlqvist and Dr Antigone Kouris-Blazos from the healthyeatingclub.org.

Dr Soo's biscuits are a satisfying and delicious blend of nutrient dense ingredients.

By comparison with plain sweet wheatmeal/oat biscuits, Dr Soo's biscuits are 40% higher in protein, have 50% less saturated fat and salt and 30% less carbohydrate (glycemic index of 46). They are also a source of fibre, omega 3 fats, iron, folic acid, vitamin A and iodine and are low in trans fat and cholesterol.

Dr Soo was keen for her snack to contain Oriental/Pacific ingredients like
Dates (11%), Red Palm fruit oil (7%), Soy (4.5%), Amaranth seed (3.5%), Cinnamon (2%),
Green Tea concentrate
(1%) and Seaweed powder (0.1%)
believed or reputed for centuries by these cultures to have health protective effects

Compared with a reference biscuit (e.g plain sweet wheatmeal/oat biscuits), Dr Soo's biscuits are:

reduced in saturated fat by 50% because fat used is derived from 'natural' good fats found in walnuts, linseed, canola oil and Carotino TM (a patented non-hydrogenated fat derived from antioxidant-rich whole plam fruit) and they don't contain animal or hardened vegetable fat
higher in protein by 40% [from whey, amaranth (seed of wild green), soy, egg]
reduced in carbohydrates by 30% (with addition of isomalt (5%) - a partially digestible carbohydrate which stimulates bowel activity, is tooth friendly and helps lower the glycaemic index)
reuced in salt by 50%
